HRH Princess Ghida Talal Graduates 140 Students from KHCC’s Back to School Program

Amman, May 2, 2019 - HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), celebrated the graduation of 140students from KHCC’s Back to School Program in a ceremony that took place at Al Hussein Cultural Center. With the academic support of the Back to School Program, students were successfully able to complete the 2018-2019 school year while receiving treatment at KHCC.

 

At the ceremony, HRH Princess Ghida gave certificates to the graduates, and stated: “I would like to congratulate the strong, determined graduates, who succeeded despite the challenges that they are facing. You have proven that cancer should not stand in the way of ambition, and you were able to thrive and excel in your studies.”

 

This year, the Back to School program achieved many accomplishments, such as increasing the number of benefiting cancer patients (including students with special needs) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, and with the support of Arab Bank, the main sponsor of the program.

 

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Asem Mansour, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), and Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF).
